Our Founder
Monica Cordero, the founder of Nova & Co., is a proud Texas girl who made the bold move to South Florida. With a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and a Master's degree from Texas Tech, Monica has spent 8 years building a successful career as a Human Resources Professional.
When she's not running her business, Monica can be found soaking up the sun at the beach, exploring the outdoors, or revving up for drag races (with plenty of sparkle, even in her fire suit!). Monica shares her life with her sassy Siberian Husky, Nova, who’s as energetic and adventurous as she is.
Her passion for connecting with people is evident in her work, where she loves how a simple compliment on a jewelry piece can spark a new relationship. Above all, Monica’s goal is to create a space where people can express their individuality, and she believes that every piece of jewelry has the potential to tell a unique story.
Our Story
Nova & Co. was always a dream—one that took time, passion, and persistence to bring to life. Ever since she was young, Monica Cordero had a deep love for unique jewelry pieces. No matter where she traveled with family, she always found herself drawn to local jewelry stores, searching for that next special piece. Even with a growing collection, there was always room for more.
But over time, she noticed a frustrating pattern—so many pieces, no matter how beautiful, lacked quality. They tarnished quickly or simply didn’t last. Monica often wondered why it was so hard to find well-made, stylish jewelry at a fair price. The idea of starting her own brand had crossed her mind more than once, but it wasn’t until December 2024 that she decided to take the leap and turn that idea into reality.
That’s how Nova & Co. was born. Named after her sassy Siberian Husky, Nova, the brand is a reflection of Monica’s vision: to offer beautiful, high-quality jewelry that’s worth every penny. Though this is just the beginning, Nova & Co. is built on a promise—to create timeless pieces that people can cherish, without the worry of them fading away.
Beyond jewelry, Monica has always appreciated the little luxuries in life, and one of her favorites is a good-quality candle. The same way the right piece of jewelry can elevate an outfit, the perfect candle can set the mood, create warmth, and add a touch of relaxation to any space.
